While checking in guns this Saturday Morning at the Morristown, Tennessee show, I Tied off a mint model 19-2. It was blued with a Snub Barrel. The seller told me he wanted $300.00 for it. It about Killed me letting this one get away, But Buying a model 41 On Friday, Put me back a ways on buying any more. I watched as it disappeared into the crowd trying to tell myself, You Can't have them all..
Later that day a Vendor I have become good friends with was taking a break and told me he had a S&W I may be Interested in. He said a guy had swapped with him on a Bottom Feeder and he took in a drop dead Mint model 19-2 snubby. I asked what he had in it and he figured $300.00 and said because I had sent a guy to him at the last show with a drop dead Mint model M-14 that he collects and Purchased, He owed me a big favor, so would sell me this 19 for what he had in it. I told him I would have to move some guns around and sell one off, But to consider the deal done if I could sell one off tomorrow. I brought one to sell early Sunday morning and sold it off before the show. I approached the vendors Table and did not see the model 19 we had a deal on there. The vendor asked his Partner where it was, and apparently while we were both off on break his partner had sold it late the day before and forgot to tell him. I was very disappointed in this, and the vendor could se it in my face as I walked away saying to him, There will be another one that comes along, don't worry about it. I was tying off guns Mid Day Sunday when a guy handed me a nice looking model 34-1 to tie off. I asked what he wanted for it, and he said $400.00. I watched it disappear into the busy crowd but felt it was a little high for my Liking. Later in the day I was approached by the same vendor that had sold the model 19 I liked. he was smiling and asked if I had ever seen a Brazil Nut Turned into a peanut ?. I was confused as to what he was trying to ask me, so he Pulled out this model 34-1 I had tied off earlier. I told him I had tied it and Liked it but the seller was a bit high for me on it. He said he got it through a swap and it was a Little more than what he offered me the model 19 for, But he wanted to make it up to me for Loosing the model 19 deal. he offered it to me for $300.00 so I had to bring it home. I plan on shooting it along with my New to me model 41 this morning at the range to see how well it shoots. This revolver needs to be cleaned up better, which I will do after shooting it today. Some Nim Rod Painted the front sight blade and I will now have to scrub that Paint off when I clean it later.

I have my doubts as to whether this Little gun will be a tack driver or not, But it is well worth the Price of $300.00 I have in it, and if it does not meet my Expectations, it will be excellent Trading stock as these snub Model round Butt model 34's are Red Hot around here for some reason. This one is not a Museum Piece, and needs a final going over, buit the Biggest issue I have found to be a minus on resale or swapping is the Famous S&W cylinderTurn Line.
I have tried taking just the very best deals and letting the others pass. It also seems the VERY best deals come right after I am tapped out from a purchase. It is enough to drive a man to drink
