I know that my Model 29 & 57 get shot Far less than my model 25-2 & 25-5. I shoot the model 25-2 & 25-5 as they have far less Recoil than my magnum Caliber handguns so those are the enjoyable ones to me. Do you shoot your large-N-Frame revolvers, and which ones are your favorites ? H.D. "Judge not...as your Final destination may have a mirrored reflection of prior judgement of others....

Neither is a great condition gun thus I am a little more apt to shoot them than higher condition shooting irons but the fact that they are 38 special also helps. Jim Firearms safety is no accident.

The other N-frames are lucky to see daylight more than once every couple of years.

Since I started reloading and loading down , their more fun to shoot . I also enjoy my 625 and my 610 . Got to love stainless guns , easy cleanin !! And, I usually choose a caliber that starts with a four.. .41 Mag, .44 Mag and .45 Colt. I feel kinda guilty sometimes that the .38s and .357s get left behind! It left the factory in March, 1957.It's one of my favorites.

My favs are probably my model 28's including one converted to 44 spl by Mr. Hamilton Bowen. I also have a 38-44 HD that I call my "pocket pistol". The reason is that I carry it in my hip pocket a lot in cooler weather. I shoot them all except a cherry model 1950 Target. The ones listed above, most frequently.

You must have a couple pictures to show the newer members. Thanks ,Jim Hi NKJ NUT, I used to have a Model 28 converted to .41 but it wasn't done by Bowen or I would probably still have it. When I had it I had the 6" barrel cut to 3 and 1/2" to make a somewhat pocket gun. When I got my Model 29-3 with the 3" barrel below I figured tha chopped and channeled model 28 .41 could find a new home. I useta to shoot the 29-3 pocket gun quite regularly, I guess I have to take it to the range and get back into the habit. I like to shoot them just fine. I don't hot load my loads anymore since I broke the thumb on my strong hand. Anything real hot will hurt for days. I shoot a lot of cast loads for easy plinking for that reason. They are fine guns. Ryan

Both are comforting, but the N frames go with me more often than the K's. Here is an old family five screw wearing a set of grips refinished by Kurt, most of the holster wear is from an old Great Grand Uncle.
