I can`t believe the shape this gun is in . The Body Guard ( to me ) is a really neat set up . Its kind of the best of both worlds " Hammerless & having a Hammer " It has a snag proof design for the most part and still conseals very well . Here`s a few pics .................... Its not what I was lookin for and had no idea it was there . I`m not a huge J frame fan but I think its a great little gun . By the serial number , it dates to around 1970 . Definitly a keeper !! LOL !! Hey those three inch guns are pretty rare , do you still have that ?? I think that consealed hammer is pretty neat . You still have the option of single action . In my opinion if that counts . I had one in round butt Configuration and I can tell you in a round butt they Pack easier, but recoil is stought. Mine being the steel version was a Tad Bit heavy so I Opted to swap it out Later for the Air-Weight I carry now...I know that D.M. Bullard makes a super Pocket holster that I purchased and use daily now that only Cost me $20.00 shipped to my Door, Here it is..Hammerdown "Yeah, though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, ... Thanks, Ralph Yes Ralph I still have it along with a nice letter from Roy Jinks that says that the barrel has been changed after it left the factory. It is still a really neat gun and the shielded hammer is great. I really like the steel weight of the gun. I had an airweight one years ago and I could not shoot it as well as I thought I should. Firearms safety is no accident.

I do not believe there were any ever made in square butt. Firearms safety is no accident.

Even oversized grips work better from a round butt starting point. This is the only j square butt grips that I have found that I like. Made by Eagle and are quite comfortable. Combat grips. I agree with you that the Square Butt-J-Frames look a Little Homely. Here is a model 37 I had for a while that was Indeed a square butt Version. I had Heard that the Square butt Versions are easier to fire with Hotter rounds, but I can assure you, They did Not Calm down recoil one bit on this Gun as it stung to fire with .38 special loads in it..When I Bought this revolver I got a good deal as the cylinder we deeply Pitted with Rust. The rest of the revolver Looked fine so I sent just the cylinder to Ford's in Florida and they were able to Match the factory Bluing Pefect to me. Here she is...H.D. I suspect our Lax Gun Laws make it a lot easier for buyers since you do Not need a handgun carry permit here in Tennessee to Purchase hand guns whether it be private Owner sales or FFL Dealer Purchases..I hope it stays that way, but with The Demo-God's at the Helm it's any body's Guess..H.D. Ralph Hi Ralph, There are a lot of guns that spent many years in a drawer or on a shelf but that has does not do a lot for me history wise. They are sure look nice but I would rather have a little history attached. My rather poor centennial is a good example. I know that it spent many years both on the uniform and plain clothes of a Deputy Sheriff that I know who worked for over 30 years in my county. Maybe eventually some people may think that some of my guns are neat also. Some day I would like to learn Smith & Wesson Gun talk and find out what the old S&Ws did after leaving the factory.
